Campus parking lots empty? not for long!
I love visiting campus on the weekend before classes start. There are always a few freshmen wandering around looking for their classes, probably under the mistaken impression that they will be able to drive up and park right in front of the buildings. Ha! Not unless they get there before 7:30 AM.

Dr. Pion is a pseudonym for a physicist whose research once included study of the pi meson. His expertise also includes the history of nuclear weapons and proliferation, but his main interest today is teaching "physics for scientists and engineers". He uses the pseudonym CCPhysicist when commenting in certain blogs because he teaches at a community college.
There is no connection at all between this blog and the real people (a veterinarian and a physician) known as Dr. Pion who show up in a Google search on this name.
