George Johnson on Colbert

Thanks to Chad at Uncertain Principles, the video of George Johnson on the Colbert Report last week:



Faraday's Law, showing electromagnetic induction (the way we generate electricity).

The highlights are between 3:30 and 4:00 (when Stephen "gets off" on the classic magnet and coil demo), and the last 30 seconds (when Stephen discovers that high voltage electricity hurts but you don't die).

I really need to do that second demo in my class next fall.
